Our History
Established in 1991, GB Electrical began life as a small family business undertaking electrical installation and repair works in both domestic and commercial properties in Herefordshire. As a result of continued success, the decision was taken in 2005 to increase the range of services we offer to include building construction and general property maintenance. With a greater range of trades on offer, and the ability to undertake projects of any size and scope the Company became GB Electrical and Building Services Ltd.
In 2021, we developed GB Home Adaptations; focused on providing adaptations to help private homeowners maintain their independence within their own home.
Who we are
Today we have over 90 employees and a long-established supply chain network. We also have access to a wealth of knowledge and expertise to provide our clients with genuine value for money on all projects undertaken.
Allied to our Hereford based head office, we have 4 regional offices with office and trade colleagues operating within the communities they serve:

We have come a long way in thirty years; however, our philosophy today is just the same as when we started out. Our services are ‘right first time’, our standards always aim to exceed expectations and the quality of our support is second to none.

Specialist Home Adaptations team
Within the GB family, GB Home Adaptations specialises in bespoke home adaptations, disabled adaptations, wet room installations and a range of other projects. Thanks to our size and our range of skills, we can play an important role in any project, large or small.
Services & Standards
Our standards of service are ensured by extensive compliance and certification, our Gas team is fully Gas Safe® approved, we are also an approved NICEIC contractor by the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting. Additionally, we are a FENSA approved window and door installer and an OFTEC registered heating business.
Our Safe Contractor accreditation means we are fully Health & Safety compliant; we are also registered with Constructionline and fully ISO9001 & ISO14001 compliant ensuring our services are managed to the highest quality standards whilst operating ethically and professionally.
Scalability
We offer affordable solutions for even the most basic of repairs in your home right through to building an entirely new property. Our clients range from individual domestic private clients to large Public sector organisations.
