Mr B. near Orleton received a Disabled Facilities Grant to make his home wheelchair accessible. Plans were put in place to provide an access ramp to the front door, renew the garden path and access around the side of the property as well as removing a storage cupboard within his main hallway.

Why did you choose GB Home Adaptations to complete the work?
I was awarded a DFG grant from the council to adapt my front and side garden. GB had come previously to do some work on the path back 2018. I really liked Marius and Gary and was so pleased to see them come back to do the new work.
Did the service meet your expectations?
Oh yeah, 100%. Really liked the guys. Marius, Gary and Jason made me feel really comfortable. They didn’t treat me like I had a disability and talked to me like an able-bodied person. Some people struggle to see past your disability but it just didn’t phase these guys. They are really good, honest, hardworking men.
Gary and Marius when they were on their lunch break they would sit at the back door and talk to me while I had my lunch. It was like having mates over, we would laugh and joke and to be honest I would class them as friends.
How has it impacted your daily life?
They’ve done a great job. I can now get out of my front door and get around the entire house on the outside. By removing the cupboard in the hallway I can now get out of my bedroom without a struggle and get into the bathroom more easily.

I’ve already been recommending you. The work is of such a high standard. Every job they do, they complete it like they are working on their own property. They really do take pride in their work. They are all top, top guys!
